INOX 430

Applications of stainless steel 430, series 400

INOX 430 is mostly used in the form of: sheet steel, hot-rolled coils, cold-rolled, and polished wire.

Applications of stainless steel 430:

Rail and road vehicles, containerization, warehouses, and transport equipment for the road industry, sound absorption, coal mining, pot bottoms (NOT INCLUDING POT INTERIORS), ovens, and other applications that need to maximize costs. Steel has good corrosion resistance between grains and high heat resistance.

Contract Manufacturing - Processing

Cold stamping with low deformation shaping can be easily performed at normal temperatures. For thick plates, a high depth of stamping is required to avoid cracks and scratches on the surface, which necessitates heating to 200 - 400 °C. If possible, heating to 700 - 900 °C is best. Corrosion resistance may be affected by the annealing or welding process. These must be removed by soaking (cleaning solution), grinding, or sandblasting. Only non-ferrous tools are permitted for these operations. The processing pressure is equivalent to that of unalloyed carbon steel.
